It’s beginning to feel like normality at Gowran Airfield as restrictions are beginning ease and our Air Experience holders are now getting to fly finally. It was a busy day on Saturday 12th June with over 26 flights taken. Several private gliders made their appearance too, which gave the duty Pilot a bit of a headache when the launch point became a car park for gliders. The weather proved to be hot with some thermals but not strong enough to set off on cross country tasks. The longest flight of the day was one hour and fifteen minutes.

Dublin Gliding Club welcomes new students who have taken up the sport since their first Air Experience and we hope to continue training and helping our students enjoy the sport and help them on their way to becoming Glider Pilots.
